We only set cookies beyond the essentials with your permission, and turning any of them off never breaks the core Finzla experience for you.

1. What this policy covers

Finzla uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) on our website and web platform to help things run properly, understand how they're used, and make the experience better. This policy explains what these technologies are, what we use them for, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember information about your visit, like your preferences or whether you're logged in, so it doesn't have to ask each time again.

3. The categories of cookies we use

Essential cookies: These are needed for the website and platform to function; for example, keeping you securely logged in and remembering items in a session. Because they're necessary for the service to work, they're not switched off through the cookie preference centre, though you can still block them at the browser level if you choose.

Analytics cookies: These help us understand, in aggregate, how the site and platform are used, which pages are visited, and where people run into trouble so that we can improve performance and content. These are optional and only set with your consent.

Preference cookies: These remember your choices, such as language, region, or display settings, so you don't have to reset them on every visit. They are optional and only set with your consent.

Marketing cookies: Where applicable, these help us understand engagement with our own campaigns. We do not use marketing cookies to build advertising profiles of you for use on other companies' websites or apps, and none are set without your consent.

4. Consent and control

Where cookies aren't essential, we ask for your consent before setting them, and you're free to say no — doing so doesn't limit anything else you can do on Finzla. You can change your mind at any time through the cookie preference centre, reachable from the site footer, or by adjusting your browser settings. If you disable essential cookies at the browser level, some features may not work as intended.

5. How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period, typically no longer than 12 months, or until you clear them yourself, whichever comes first.

6. Third-party cookies

A small number of cookies may be set by trusted third-party service providers who help us with analytics or platform functionality, acting on our instructions and under a data processing agreement. We do not permit these providers to use Finzla cookie data for their own independent purposes.

7. Your data protection rights

Where cookies involve personal information, the rights described in our Privacy Policy, including the right to withdraw consent at any time, apply in the same way. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you believe your information has been handled incorrectly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. Material changes will be signposted on the site.
