Finzla is a financial-education and budgeting platform, not a bank, lender, or licensed financial institution. Where we connect you to a regulated product or service, that product is provided by the licensed partner, on their own terms, not by Finzla.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Finzla website, platform, and related services (together, the “Service”), provided by Finzla Technologies Nigeria Limited (“Finzla”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use Finzla. If you're accessing Finzla through an employer-sponsored programme, your organisation's eligibility criteria may also apply.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly at support@finzla.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may ask you to verify your identity as part of onboarding or ongoing account security, in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Use of the platform

You agree not to:

  • Misuse the platform or attempt to access parts of it you're not authorised to access.
  • Interfere with, disable, or circumvent any security feature.
  • Use Finzla for any unlawful purpose, or to defraud Finzla, another user, or a third party.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the platform's source code or underlying data at scale without our written permission.

5. Information provided, not financial advice

Finzla provides general financial information, educational content, budgeting tools, and transaction insights. This information is for general guidance only, is not personalised financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and shouldn't be treated as a recommendation to take (or not take) any particular action. You should seek independent professional advice before making significant financial decisions.

6. Finzla is not a licensed financial institution

Finzla itself does not hold customer funds, extend credit, or provide banking, lending, or investment services, and is not a Deposit Money Bank, microfinance bank, or other CBN-licensed financial institution. Where Finzla connects you with a bank, lender, or other regulated provider, whether to link a bank account or take up a partner product, that product or service is provided by the relevant licensed partner under their own terms, privacy notice, and regulatory obligations, not by Finzla. Finzla is not responsible for the acts or omissions of an independent third-party partner once you're dealing with them directly.

7. Bank connections and Open Banking

If you choose to connect a bank account, Finzla accesses your transaction and balance information on a read-only basis through licensed Open Banking service providers, consistent with the CBN's Open Banking Regulatory Framework. Finzla cannot initiate payments or move money from a connected account. You can disconnect a bank account at any time in Settings.

8. Employer-sponsored access

If your access to Finzla is sponsored by an employer or other organisation, that sponsorship is a separate arrangement between Finzla and the organisation. It does not affect your individual rights under these Terms or our Privacy Policy, and your employer cannot see your individual financial information regardless of how your access is funded.

9. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but can't guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. We may update, improve, suspend, or modify parts of the platform when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, or legal/regulatory reasons.

10. Intellectual property

All Finzla branding, content, design, and platform materials belong to Finzla Technologies Nigeria Limited or its licensors. You may use the platform for your own personal, non-commercial use, but may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our materials without permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Finzla is not liable for losses caused by misuse of the platform, decisions made in reliance on general information or educational content, the acts of independent third-party partners or service providers, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from our own fraud or wilful misconduct.

12. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time; see our Right to Erasure and Account Deletion Policy for what that involves. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law or a regulator, or where we detect fraud or security risk, and we'll explain why wherever we're able to.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

If something's gone wrong, please contact us first at support@finzla.com so we can try to put it right. Privacy-related complaints can also be raised with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and any dispute that can't be resolved directly is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where a change is material, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know before it takes effect. Continuing to use Finzla after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated Terms.
